Dr. Matthew Thomas Scaffa graduated from New York University in 1985 with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) and has been working as a dentist on Staten Island, NY, for nearly 30 years. Before attending dental school, he completed his Bachelor of Science in biochemistry at Stony Brook University. To ensure that he keeps abreast of emerging technologies and procedures in dentistry, Dr. Scaffa annually averages about 20 Continuing Education (CE) units. In addition, he is a member of the American Dental Association and the 2nd District Dental Society. To provide the highest possible level of care to his patients, he has received advanced training in implant dentistry, Invisalign®, and Lumineers® cosmetic veneers.
Dr. Scaffa started his career on Richmond Avenue before opening his own practice at 127 Foster Road. He quickly realized that he needed more space and a bigger team and in 2000 he broke ground for his current location at 112 Foster Road, Staten Island, NY 10309.
Dr. Scaffa’s family is extremely important to him. He has been blessed with three sons and his wonderful wife. They have been and will always be his driving force and his strength. On his free time, he enjoys going on bike rides, catching up with old friends and spending time with his family.
